Well, here I am neck deep in my opportunity to practice what I preach about embracing the pain and trusting God with what I don’t understand. It’s such a strange bubble of disconnectedness, while life rushes on unheeding just beyond.
But many of you are peering into the same chronic uncertainty and pressure. So my prayers are that each of us can find our way to get a better grip on God, taste and see that He is indeed good, and drive that stake of hope deeper into the bedrock of faith.
Whether 2022 goes well or not, remember that God is, and that He is the rewarder of those who seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).
That is the promise.
Thank you again to so many of you who have reached out with love and support. I am carrying these touches in my heart and pondering them.
Grace to you!
Toward the promise,
Lana
Through the Bible in a Year Reading Plan and Challenge
So have you made it to the end? Couple days yet, but I hope so! How cool is it that you gave it your best. Hopefully this has whetted your appetite for a repeat of some kind. Remember that there are lots of thru-the-Bible reading plans out there.
As you might suspect, I did not make it through. New Testament is finished, but things happened at the end of Isaiah. I may or may not regain traction in the new year, although I hope to. We’ll just see!
Questions for the year’s reading: How has your perspective of the whole Bible changed? In what ways has your idea of God Himself changed? What surprises you the most from this whole challenge?
Here’s the link to the Toward the Promise archives until I get back with substance.

Inch by inch sometimes is all we can do by the grace of God. But he is faithful and someday we'll see all the wonders he is doing, as we remain faithful to him.
